My Name is Paddy Douglas I am the owner of The Ink Wizard Tattoo Studio in West Belfast situated at Unit 5 , Riverdale Units , Andersontown Rd. I began my career in Tattooing in 1992 in Belfast City Skinworks then in Wellinton Place. I served my apprenticeship there until early 1995.

In 1995 I moved back home to Ballymoney and opened my own studio, Alchemists Tattoos. It opened in June 1995. Whist running that studio I worked at a Tattoo Convention in the Isle Of Man, It was here i met a Scottish artist called Ronnie Celantano. I worked ocassionally for Ronnie in his studio in Dundee in Scotland and we work The Saints N Sinners Bike Rally every September together in Scotland. I also worked a spell in a studio in Playa Las Americas in Tenerife. I kept Alchemist Tattoos going for ten years which I considered an aceivement as new businesses rarely last more than a year in Ballymoney. I closed down the studio in 2005 due to personal life issues. From there I went and worked for two months at a studio in Kavos, Corfu. But with two children back home I decided to come home and open another studio, this time I wanted to be in Belfast again where I have many friends. Through friends I found premises at Riverdale. I went through Start A Business Courses to help with funding and the studio became a reality.
